Important: Even if you are a citizen of one of the countries listed above, you cannot apply for ESTA if:

  • Your ESTA application has previously been denied
  • You intend to work in the USA (including unpaid internships, which are also considered work)
  • You plan to study or attend a language course with more than 18 hours of instruction per week
  • You have visited Sudan, Syria, Iran, Somalia, Yemen, Libya, or Iraq since March 2011
  • You have visited Cuba since January 2021
  • You are entering the USA via private aircraft or private vessel

How does the process of applying for an ESTA visa for the USA work?

Step 1

You must prepare all required documents. The list of documents can be found below.

You send the documents by email, by registered mail, or bring them to our office — either in person or through a representative (no power of attorney required).

We review the received documents as quickly as possible and inform you about the status.

You make the payment in a way convenient for you: by bank transfer, cash, PayPal, or online with a payment card. You may also send the payment confirmation together with your application by email.

We submit the ESTA application on the same or the next working day after receiving all documents.

The electronic travel authorization (ESTA) will be sent to you by email on the day it is issued or the following day. Upon request, the ESTA can also be printed and collected at our office.

Required documents (per person)

Please carefully read the list of required documents for applying for a visa to the USA. Prepare all documents and send them to us by registered mail or bring them personally to our office.

Color copy of the passport

The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of departure.

1 passport photo

Recent photo, not older than 6 months. It must be a copy or scan, in color, on a white/neutral background, with a neutral facial expression, and printed on photo paper.

A photo can be taken in our office for €10.

Completed ESTA application

Fill out the ESTA application online. Alternatively, you can download the form as a PDF, print it, and complete it, then send it to us by post or submit it in person.

Tourist / Business Visa (B1/B2)

Non-immigrant visa. Required for citizens of countries that do not participate in the Visa Waiver Program.

The visa must be applied for at the US Embassy in Vienna, and you must attend an interview at the embassy.

We can prepare everything for your consular interview:

  • Completion of the electronic application form
  • Payment of the consular fee
  • Creation of an account
  • Appointment scheduling with the American consulate
  • List of required documents to bring with you

How does the process of applying for a (B1/B2) visa work?

We complete the electronic visa application, create your account in the US Embassy system, pay the consular fee, and schedule your interview appointment at the US Embassy in Vienna.

You attend the interview in person at the US Embassy in Vienna. After a successful interview, your passport with the visa will be delivered by post within approximately 5 working days. Upon request, pickup in Vienna or alternative passport return options are also available.

Copy of the current registration form in Austria, if the applicant is not an EU citizen.

Visa application for the Tourist / Business Visa

The visa application for the tourist visa must be fully completed.

Student Visa (F1)

For a language stay or studies in the USA with more than 18 hours of instruction per week, you need a student visa (F1).

The visa must be applied for at the US Embassy in Vienna, and you must attend an interview at the embassy.
