VISA TYPES FOR UGANDA:
Electronic e-Visa
Single entry with a stay of up to 30 days, multiple entry valid for 1 or 2 years, or an East Africa visa with multiple entry and a stay of up to 90 days
Electronic e-Visa
Austrian citizens and EU citizens must apply for an electronic visa to enter Uganda.
The e-Visa can be issued for single or multiple entries.
How does the application process work?
Step 1
You must prepare all the required documents. The list of documents can be found below.

You can send the documents by email or by registered mail, or bring them to our office either in person or through a representative.

We will review the submitted documents as quickly as possible and inform you about the status.

You can make the payment using your preferred method: bank transfer, cash, PayPal, or online by payment card.

We will submit the visa application on the same or the next business day after receiving all required documents.

We will send the e-Visa to you by email on the day it is issued or the following day. The visa can also be collected in person at our office.

Passport copy
Valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of departure and with at least one blank visa page.
1 color passport photo (scan)
Must be high resolution.
Planned travel dates.
Copy of the yellow fever vaccination certificate.
Accommodation address in Uganda.
Spouse details
First and last name of the spouse (if married).
Austrian criminal record certificate
Only required for multiple-entry visas. The certificate must be bilingual (German & English).
2 invitation letters from Uganda
Only required for multiple-entry visas.
Bank transfer confirmation (proof of payment).
Important: Upon entry into Uganda, the following documents must be presented at the airport:
- Printed electronic e-Visa
- Original yellow fever vaccination certificate
- Passport copy
- Recent passport photo
