How does the application process work?

Step 1

You send the documents by registered mail or bring them to our office — either in person or via a representative.

We review the submitted documents as quickly as possible and inform you about the status.

You make the payment in the way that is most convenient for you: by bank transfer, in cash, via PayPal, or online using a payment card.

We submit the visa application to the consulate on the same day or the next business day after receiving all documents.

We send your passport with the visa by registered mail on the day it is received from the consulate or the following day. The visa can also be collected in person at our office.

Required documents (per person)

Please read the list of required documents carefully. Prepare all documents and send them to us by registered mail or bring them in person to our office.

Original passport

Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of departure and have at least 2 blank pages.

2 passport photos

Recent passport photos, not older than 6 months. They must be originals, in color, on a white/neutral background, with a neutral facial expression, and printed on photographic paper.

A photo can be taken at our office for €10.

Completed and signed visa application form

Copy of flight and hotel booking confirmation (or travel booking confirmation)

Current registration certificate in Austria

Required for non-Austrian citizens (not older than 3 months).

Original Austrian residence permit

Required for non-Austrian citizens (both sides).

Fill out the order form online. Alternatively, you can download the form as a PDF, print and complete it, and then send it to us by mail or hand it in in person.

Note: The tourist visa is valid for 30 days from the date of entry.

Invitation letter from the Egyptian business partner

Contents: traveler details, name and main business activity of the Egyptian partner company, purpose and dates of travel, requested validity period, and number of entries.

Required for non-Austrian citizens (not older than 3 months).

Note: The business visa is valid for 180 days from the date of entry, with a maximum stay of 90 days.

Important: Processing time is longer for citizens of the following countries: all African countries, Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, North Macedonia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Moldova, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

E-visa

Electronic visa for single or multiple entry, valid for 90 or 180 days from the date of issue, allowing a stay of up to 30 days in Egypt.

Citizens of Austria, EU countries, and other countries can apply for an electronic visa for Egypt.
