Important (Fingerprint Requirement!): Since December 9, 2019, all applicants (between 14 and 70 years old) applying for multiple-entry visas as well as work and conference visas (categories Z and F) must submit their fingerprints in person at the Chinese Visa Application Center in Vienna.

If the fingerprints have already been submitted after December 9, 2019, for the same passport, resubmission is not required.

How does the process of applying for a China visa work?

Step 1

You prepare all required documents.

You send the documents by email, by registered mail, or bring them personally to our office.

We review the documents and inform you about the status.

You make the payment via bank transfer, cash, PayPal, or online.

We prepare your application and book the appointment at the visa center. If personal submission of fingerprints is required, you attend the appointment yourself; otherwise, we submit the application on your behalf.

We collect your passport with the visa and send it to you, or you pick it up in person.

Required Documents (per person)

Please read the list of required documents for applying for a visa to China carefully. Prepare all documents and send them to us by registered mail or bring them personally to our office.

Original Passport

Valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of departure and with at least 2 blank pages.

Color copy of the passport

The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of departure.

Copy of two blank passport pages

Copy of two blank pages of the passport.

2 passport photos

Recent passport photos, not older than 6 months. They must be original, in color, on a snow-white background, with a neutral facial expression, and printed on photo paper.

A photo can be taken in our office for €10.

Electronic visa application form

The visa application must be fully completed and personally signed twice (on page 1 and page 8).

We can fill out and submit the online application for you for €35 (for this, please send or bring us the following application assistance form).

Data Protection Form

Fully completed and signed data protection form.

Current registration certificate in Austria

Required for non-Austrian citizens. It must confirm that the applicant has been residing in Austria for at least 6 months.

Copy of EU residence permit

Color copy of the EU residence permit (both sides), if the applicant is not an EU citizen.

Flight and hotel booking confirmation

Copy of the flight booking as well as the hotel booking for the entire duration of the stay. Alternatively, a travel booking confirmation in which all applicants are listed by name.

Invitation letter

Official invitation letter from a relevant Chinese authority, company, or institution. The invitation must include: duration and purpose of stay, address in China, number of entries, and personal details of the traveler (name, gender, date of birth, passport number).

The invitation letter can be arranged through us for €120.

Employer’s letter

Letter from the employer (e.g. airline) stating the purpose and duration of the stay, as well as a confirmation of cost coverage.

Invitation letter from China

Official invitation letter from the relevant provincial government in China.

Important: A crew visa can also be issued without an invitation. However, in this case it is limited to 6 months and allows a maximum of 2 entries, with each stay limited to up to 10 days.
