Sri Lanka relaxes entry rules.

From early October, fully vaccinated tourists will be allowed to enter Sri Lanka without a second PCR test upon arrival. Official information about the new rules will be published on the website of the Sri Lankan Ministry of Health.

According to the new guidelines, vaccinated travelers will still need a PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before departure, but they will be able to book any type of accommodation and proceed directly to their holiday destination. They will also be allowed to travel across the country, not only within designated “travel bubble” routes.

For unvaccinated tourists, the current entry and stay rules on the island remain unchanged.
