Starting June 30, 2025, all foreign nationals who are eligible for visa-free entry to Russia will be required to obtain an electronic travel authorization in the form of a personalized QR code.

Travelers without a visa must register and submit an electronic entry application no later than 72 hours before arrival. The application can be completed via the official Russian government service portal Gosuslugi or through the mobile app “ruID,” which is currently under development.
