Vietnam introduces digital entry card
Recently, entry procedures for Vietnam have changed for many international travelers. Following the example of other countries, particularly in Asia—such as India, China, South Korea, and Indonesia, which have already digitalized parts of their entry processes—Vietnam is now introducing its own digital entry card system.
According to a notice from the Immigration Department of Ho Chi Minh City, all foreign nationals entering Vietnam—regardless of whether they require a visa or not—must submit their personal information in advance via the portal prearrival.immigration.gov.vn before arriving at border control. This rule also applies to Vietnamese citizens living abroad who enter the country with a visa.
If you are planning a trip to Vietnam, you will need a visa. VisaCenter can assist you with your Vietnam visa application and the “pre-arrival” entry card, helping you avoid unnecessary hassle.
