The UK Home Office has published a new review of its Electronic Travel Authorisation program, three months after reporting 25.1 million authorisations issued in the year to March 2026.

In the period from July 2025 to June 2026, a total of 23.2 million ETAs were granted. US citizens remain the largest group of recipients, followed by nationals of Germany and France. Since February 25, 2026, the ETA has been mandatory for all travelers who require one — passengers without a valid authorisation may be denied boarding.
