UAE: Visa on Arrival Introduced for Six New Countries
In a statement issued on June 25, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates announced that nationals of Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya, and South Africa will now be eligible to obtain a visa on arrival. The new policy applies to holders of ordinary passports as well as accompanying family members.
This is not a general visa exemption for all citizens of these six countries. The facilitation applies only to travelers who reside outside their home country and hold a valid residence permit issued by one of the countries or regions recognized by the UAE authorities.
