The USA are considering express appointments for tourist visas for $1000
In light of long waiting times for visa interviews at some U.S. embassies, the Trump administration is reportedly considering introducing a paid express appointment option. The proposed fee would be $1000 to gain preferential access to an interview slot.
According to an internal memo seen by Reuters, a plan is being discussed that would allow a paid option for faster appointment scheduling for short-term visas – particularly for B1/B2 visas, which cover business and tourist travel to the United States.
