Bangkok is currently weighing two separate tax proposals for travelers. The first would introduce an entry fee of 450 baht for foreign tourists, while the second would impose a departure tax of 1,000 baht on all travelers, including Thai nationals.

If both measures are adopted, foreign tourists flying to and from Thailand could face additional charges of up to 1,450 baht — on top of the airport fees already included in their airfare.
