Sri Lanka: October 15 requirement suspended
Just a few days after the new regulation came into effect, which required travelers as of October 15, 2025, to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before departure, the Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka has temporarily suspended the measure.
As a result, foreign visitors traveling to Sri Lanka for tourism or business purposes can continue to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) under the previous procedures – including the option to apply for it upon arrival.
If you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka, you will need an ETA visa. VisaCenter will handle your Sri Lanka visa application and help you avoid unnecessary difficulties.
