Since May 25, nationals of Germany, France, and 31 other countries can apply for a free Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for Sri Lanka. This brings the total number of participating countries to 40.

Despite the removal of visa fees, applying for an ETA remains mandatory. The authorization is usually issued quickly, but it is recommended to apply a few days before departure.

An Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is generally valid for six months and allows two entries and a stay of up to 30 days in Sri Lanka. For longer stays, an extension must be requested from the immigration authorities for an additional fee.

If you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka, you will need a visa. VisaCenter can handle your Sri Lanka visa application for you, saving you the hassle.
