The Vietnamese government has extended the visa-free regime for citizens of 11 countries until March 15, 2028. Tourists from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland can now stay in Vietnam for up to 45 days without a visa.

The visa-free regime for these countries was originally introduced in 2023 and was set to expire on March 15, 2025. However, Vietnamese authorities have decided to extend it for another three years to make the country even more attractive to tourists.
