No more Red List for UK entry.
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) has now removed all countries from its COVID-19 Red List.
As a result, travelers no longer need to undergo hotel quarantine upon arrival.
The UK’s coronavirus travel restrictions use a traffic-light system, with countries assigned to green, amber, and red lists. The Red List applies to regions considered high risk for COVID-19.
The last 7 countries were removed from the Red List in early November 2021.
International travelers from all parts of the world can now enter the UK under the same or similar conditions. Currently, no one is required to book a hotel room for quarantine.
Fully vaccinated passengers from approved countries can avoid quarantine entirely, while others must self-isolate.
Although there are currently no countries on the list, the Red List system remains in place. The UK government will continue to review the situation every 3 weeks. If countries experience an increase in COVID-19 cases and/or are considered high-risk, they may be added back to the list.
