India introduces digital arrival card
As part of the transition to more modern immigration procedures, India will officially introduce the digital arrival card (“India e-Arrival Card”) for foreign travelers starting October 1, 2025. The new entry form will be available online as well as via a mobile app.
During a transition period of up to six months, or until the digital system is fully stabilized (whichever comes first), it will be used in parallel with the traditional paper version. This dual-format approach has been introduced to ensure a smooth and user-friendly transition to the new system and to give all stakeholders sufficient time to adapt.
If you are planning a trip to India, you will need a visa as well as the above-mentioned e-Arrival Card. VisaCenter will handle the application for you and help you avoid unnecessary hassle.
