Although India recently extended the validity of the 30-day electronic tourist visa to 120 days, the Indian authorities have now announced a revision of fees for certain categories of electronic visas (e-visa). One of the most notable changes is the increase in the fee for the one-year electronic business visa.

Previously priced at $80, the updated fee is now $120 according to the revised fee schedule. Depending on the applicant’s nationality, the cost may be significantly higher.

This sequence of measures appears contradictory: while New Delhi is easing entry conditions to facilitate travel, it is simultaneously tightening the financial aspect of its visa system for long-term or business stays.
