EASA lifts flight restrictions for Iran
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has lifted previously imposed flight restrictions over the airspace of Israel and Iran. The decision to remove the bans, which were in place until January 31, is linked to the signing of a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and a general easing of tensions in the region.
Instead of the restrictions, EASA has introduced special Information Notices (IN), which alert airlines to ongoing risks when flying over these areas.
