Indian officials have announced that the electronic visa system has been reinstated for all nationalities (a total of 164) that were previously restricted.

The Indian e-visa system had been limited during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in order to reduce the number of foreign tourists entering the country.

More than 160 nationalities can now use the India e-visa system again. This is the full number of eligible countries that were able to apply for the online visa before the pandemic.
