Since July 2024, the electronic visa (e-visa) has been the main requirement for entry to Cuba. However, the Cuban authorities have unexpectedly extended the validity of traditional Tourist Cards: they can now be used until December 31, 2025.

This new decision grants additional time for travelers who still hold an unused Tourist Card (Tarjeta del Turista). Previously, the validity had already been extended once – first from December 31, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
