Travelers planning a trip to Chad will now be required to apply for their visa exclusively online.

In an official statement issued on May 8, 2026, the Electronic Visa Department of the Ministry of Public Security and Immigration announced that all visa applications for entry into the Republic of Chad must be submitted through the official portal, evisa.td. The new regulations will take effect on May 11, 2026. From that date onward, all new visa applications will be processed exclusively through the digital platform.

Available since December 2024, the portal serves as Chad’s new electronic visa system. Travelers can start their application, complete the form, pay the required fees, and track the processing status entirely online.
