Australia Introduces Digital Arrival Card
On July 13, 2026, the Australian government announced the gradual introduction of the Australia Travel Declaration — a digital replacement for the incoming passenger card currently handed out to travelers before arrival. The government is investing A$56.1 million over four years to modernize its border processes.
Once fully implemented, millions of passengers will be able to submit their declaration before they land, doing away with the scramble for a pen on the plane or filling out paper forms at the terminal.
